Doug began his career in sales in high school while working for his family’s window and door company, teaching him from a young age the importance of customer service and building a strong relationship with clients. Doug began his real estate career at Century 21 when he obtained his sales license in 1991, and since 1999, has been affiliated with RE/MAX 100 in Dunkirk. Doug has extensive knowledge of the building process, having managed the sales departments of two of the region’s top builders. With all his experience and passion for residential real estate, Doug also builds custom homes. His company, Patuxent Preferred Properties II, brings it all together. Along with his partner, Doug can help those in need of building their dream home on their lot or a lot he is able to find for them. If not listing, selling, or building homes, and if time permits, Doug can probably be found on the golf course.

Sharon worked at NASA while in high school and was hired full time right upon graduating as an administrative assistant to a department head. Working for NASA was a dream come true, as she was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in the 1960’s where her father worked at Cape Canaveral. Working for NASA, the AFL-CIO, and then going into the administrative end of the legal field, her experience with multi-tasking, client care, and the attention to detail, has been invaluable in the real estate business. While working full-time, she attended college, studying business administration and marketing. Along with Doug, she obtained her real estate license in 1991 and worked under Century 21 in Upper Marlboro. In 1999, she moved to RE/MAX 100 in Dunkirk, and has continued to work under that brokerage. Along the way, Sharon worked with two of the area’s builders, gaining additional knowledge of the new home industry. Besides real estate, Sharon’s most important role is being a mother to her and Doug’s two sons.
